codocs is a Dutch service for secure file sharing. Built for businesses that want to know where their data lives, who can reach it and what happens to it.
Why codocs exists
File sharing too often runs through services that are big, American and opaque. Whoever sends a quote, contract or case file hands over control: no view of where the file lives, how long it is kept or who opened it.
codocs turns that around. Files sit encrypted on European storage, every share has an expiry date and a revoke button, and the audit log shows what happens to your files. No ads, no data resale; the business model is an honest subscription.
codocs grew out of Hostmatters, a Dutch hosting company from Amsterdam, and now operates under its own name. The same no-nonsense attitude hosting demands (backups, monitoring, simply doing what you promise) runs through codocs.
What we stand for
European storage
Files are stored encrypted on EU servers. No transfer outside the EU as part of the service.
Data minimisation
We only ask for what is needed: an email address. Even your first name is optional.
You stay in control
Every share can expire, every link can be revoked, the audit log shows every download.
GDPR, demonstrably
Data processing agreement and processing register are ready; request them via support.
